Puig de les Basses Prison
A correctional centre is a city in itself, where security plays a leading role. This prison is laid out along a central road through the middle of the site. To one side are the residential buildings where prisoners live, eat and sleep. To the other are separate buildings housing the workshop, hospital, and cultural and sports centres. The prison is surrounded by a safety zone, behind which the management, control and visitor access buildings stand.
