Parliament of Andorra
The new headquarters of the General Council addressed an irregular topography, the historic presence of the place and two different urban layouts. The project proposes an architecture that positively transforms the place and adapts to the different constructed realities that surround it, producing a new building that is rooted in the site to form part of the landscape. The assembly hall is the reference space, clad with oak panels and a white marble sliding skin. When lit up, the marble highlights the symbolic nature of this space, like crystals set in the rock.
