Neubau Bildungscampus in Geradstetten

The project is located in Geradstetten, on a linear site framed by two strong territorial edges: the Bundesstraße B29 to the north and the Rems River to the south. This in-between condition places the campus at the intersection of infrastructure, landscape, and a heterogeneous industrial fabric. The surrounding context is characterized by a mixed industrial context. The site’s elongated geometry and existing access from Oberer Wasen define a clear urban structure, with opportunities to establish both a representative public frontage toward the street and a productive, service-oriented edge toward the landscape. The design responds with a system of modular volumes that reflect the scale and rhythm of the surrounding environment. The layout follows the curvature of the road while maintaining a clear, functional organization toward the central yard and river. A gradual shift in building height from a prominent western edge to lower eastern volumes creates a balanced transition between village and industrial scales, forming a cohesive and recognizable campus.
