Girona Courthouse
The courthouse stands on the limit of the old town of Girona, between the river and the railway lines, in front of the monumental complex of the cathedral. This is a building with a complex brief and a variety of spaces, where the distinction between public and private or restricted necessitates clarity in the circulation flows and a logical grouping of areas according to activities and their location with regard to the exterior. The main wing houses the communal services, magistracies and institutional areas. The other wing houses the courts, with the courtrooms on the ground floor.
