Garrotxa Hospital

The proposal takes the form of a horizontal building that adapts to the topography and ensures that all levels are in contact with the ground. The building is laid out in strips running from east to west, with “fingers” in a north- south direction, creating large courtyards that adapt to the surrounding relief. This volumetric fragmentation makes the most of the magnificent views, as well as giving the building a human scale. The project places a premium on transparency, drawing daylight from the courtyards and skylights into all the rooms and hallways.
