Archeological Museum in Rostock

In close relation with the restructuring of the Christinenhafen and the future Federal Garden Show, the new exhibition house is an integral part of this new area. On one hand through its similarity to modern excavations sites, and on the other hand through maritime architecture reminiscent of sails and ships. The building unfolds the museum program on several levels, the introverted and funcionally exhibition areas, the entrance and circulation accesible at ground level, as well as a spacious ramp, which is seen as an extension of the public square and as a circumferential path.
